I’m committed as a follower of Jesus Christ, a husband, a father and a teacher. I presently serve as the Minister of Bowling Green Christian Church where I teach, lead small groups and help provide leadership to our discipleship ministries. I’m a Christian and believe very deeply that God is a present force in the world, desiring to be a present reality in every person’s life. There are a few “non-negotiables” of my faith, then there are my opinions. While I hold to my beliefs strongly I must readily confess that my beliefs are not infallible, only God’s word is. If I hope that others would be willing to hear my beliefs and change, then I must in some sense tentatively hold my own beliefs out for correction. This is why I have titled my beliefs my “Present Statement of Faith.” Visit this page and you should find a more clear picture of what I hold dear. My faith orders my life and has guided my vocation, to my philosophy of ministry read “Present Statement of Ministry.”
Next to and informed by my faith – my family takes priority. Jesus said, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” For me that starts with my first neighbor, my wife, and then my children. I couldn’t resist including a family photo here, if you want to know me and what is important to me then you must know my family. They come first and in case you were wondering it is my children who are running into the ocean at the top of every page.
This site is a tool, a hobby and an expression. It is used to teach and communicate with Bowling Green Christian Church and others who are interested. It is used by me to waste time and tinker (I don’t work on cars). It is an expression of my work and my passion the study of God’s word and his people.
